The Obsidian Queen

Nationality:
The Skykor Empire
Lineage:
HumanKind / The Upamu
Personality:
Stately and detached, possessed of a razor-sharp strategic mind. While her public image is one of maternal benevolence toward her subjects, her internal world remains an impenetrable fortress.
Description:
Matisse was the eldest daughter of the House of Skykor. In her youth, she witnessed the bloody coup of the Nova City-State. During the chaos, her parents—the Duke and Duchess of Skykor—gave their lives to protect Matisse and her younger brother, Mati.
At the age of seventeen, the young Countess Matisse escaped with the help of a mysterious traveler named Sain. Together they crossed the Genesis Mountains and reached the lands that would later become known as Skykor. There, blessed with abundant magical resources, Matisse gathered followers and founded a new realm. In time, those who followed her proclaimed her the Queen of Skykor.
Matisse ruled with decisiveness and vision. She welcomed large waves of migrants from distant lands and pioneered the first military alliance between dragons and humankind. Under her leadership, the armies of Skykor became unstoppable, and their strength later proved decisive during the Skykor–Koranville Wars.
To the people of Skykor, Matisse remains the greatest queen their realm has ever known—her reign remembered as flawless and unshakable. Yet her story ends in mystery. On a night when the heavens were filled with falling stars, the Obsidian Queen vanished from her chambers without a trace.
From that night onward, a legend spread across Skykor: that their queen was taken away beneath the meteor-lit sky by a radiant white unicorn with wings, carrying her beyond the mortal world.
Secret:
Matisse quietly held deep affection for Sain, the traveler who helped her escape across the mountains. Because of this unspoken love, She has no relationship experience and never married.
